DRIP List - UPDATE

admin @ 10:46 am — Link to this post
Hi All,

Just a quick note to mention a big thank you to the people who have added their comments so I can keep the site up to date. Google searches acan only pick up so much when looking for new DRIPs.

I have added two new DRIPs, both income trusts:
- Eveready Income Fund
- Liquor Store Income Fund

I have also modified two exisitng entries:
- Borealis Retail REIT changed its name to Primaris Retail REIT
- Canadian Apartment Properties REIT merged with Residential Equities REIT and so the latter entry was removed

As you can see, the formatting is still a problem and something I am working on. Just scroll down to see the entire list.

If you have any additions or corrections to the list, please reply to this public thread and I'll update the list ASAP.

Thanks,
Ken

Mutual Funds - The indian scenario

admin @ 6:26 am — Link to this post
Mutual funds in India have been attracting investment from retail investors for a few years now. Gone are the UTI mutual fund days of guaranteed returns and controlled economy. Today's funds are completely linked to the market and they are open ended and fully redeemable. Unfortunately, the investment community in India still looks at them like they way a day trader looks at stocks. They get in and get out quickly hoping to make a quick killing. The only people who get rich in that process are the fund managers. I wonder if this attitude will ever change in India.

Housing Market Still Hot

admin @ 5:29 pm — Link to this post

The Minneapolis/St. Paul housing market is still going strong.  Housing inventory is continuing to grow but at the same time, we are near-record levels for closed sales.  Locally, this year’s interest rates, sales, and appreciation are still tracking much higher than anybody expected.  While most houses take 1-2 months to sell, I listed a house for sale and received two offers in five days!  The house was priced well, was completely cleaned and decluttered, and I took beautiful pictures to show off its condition.
